  • Respected Mr Tewelde I highly follow and read your massages I can not understand why you are always against your own country , you can hate The Leader , But do not spoil the Image of your own country . if you have read before a couple months the UNDP Representative to Eritrea she presented the IMAGE of Eritrea in a Positive manner specially in the Area of Malaria and Health situations , Mortality of Children and at Female Janitile , it showed an interest to engage with Eritrea very important , I hope you will contribute on your level a very Positive Image of your own country , Eiritrea is reconstructing and organizing its human and natural resources to continue it self reliant method of development . So , Please, do not undermine the face of your home , Even though we can have some reservations on the Policy of the government , we do not have to take in to consideration that the leader and his Proponents the high-handed Political system in ERITREA , They are living for them selves we know that , But we have to think beyond that brother we have paid so many brother and sister to liberate the country from occupationist Ethiopia .Things will fine , You know .

    • Dear Afewerki,
Thank you for your usual fruitful comments. Having said that I really share your thoughts and concerns. However, I am not damaging the image of my beloved country. Not at all. If anyone tries to do that I am going to fight them back. My objective as a citizen is calling for changes in government policies such as in this article. If I feel it is wrong policy I have the duty and responsibility to share my voice with fellow Eritreans like you. Am I doing a different thing? No!! Every national of any country does that. The government banned traditional dispute resolutions, why? In other words, our communities cannot sit and resolve their daily disputes and conflicts unless the courts allowed them to do so. Is this about the image of Eritrea or about the people who are desperately seeking justice? If elected baitos cannot pass resolutions that matter their constituents is that a baito? Does this arrangements serve the people?

So, if you and me don’t voice for our people who else will? If things keep going like this will it serve the interest of nation? In fact, our silence will do more harms than good for our country. I am not doing this in the front doors of international powers. I am doing this with and for nationals. I strongly believe in that the solutions for our problems are we and only we Eritreans. For this and other reasons, I pick a policy issue and write about it. If anyone picks his computer and able to counter my arguments otherwise I will be glad to engage with him/her.

Nevertheless, silence in the middle of economic and governance crisis of our nation and people is not wisdom.
